So… the struggle continued this week with sticking to my running schedule! Even after realizing it last week, I still let other things get in the way this week. It’s been almost a week since my last run. 🙁
I should have made time yesterday but didn’t. I’m realizing that when I get overwhelmed, exercise is the first thing to go. I know that I need the exercise for stress relief, but it’s hard to make it a priority sometimes.
I really wanted to skip today too because I was busy with meal prep, but I told my inner voice to shut up and jumped on the treadmill. I wanted to go outside but opted for the treadmill since I was feeling pressed for time.
Couch to 5K Week 7 Day 3
Walk 5 minutes to warm up
Run 25 minutes
Walk 5 minutes to cool down
This wasn’t my best run, but it certainly wasn’t my worst either. I ran the first half at a speed of 5.0 (12 min/mile) and the last half at a speed of 4.5 (13.33 min/mile). It does seem like it’s easier for me to run faster outside, but I’m really not worried about that today. I’m just happy I actually completed a run! The calendar on my running motivation board is looking a little sparse. (I put a sticker on each day that I complete a run.) I only have about 2 months until my 8K (5 miles), so I can’t stop now!
I just scheduled my next 2 runs ON MY CALENDAR so I am more likely to stick to the plan. I will run C25K W8D1 on Tuesday morning before work and C25K W8D2 on Thursday morning before work. I got this.

I am amazed that you find time to do everything you do. Good job pushing yourself. Kick that inner voice to the curb!

I go to classes. I need the scheduled time, the peer pressure, and most importantly, the push from the instructors. They keep us moving and motivated.
