YES, YES I CAN EAT THAT! Don’t you ever get tired of having people ask you if you are “allowed” to eat that on your “diet?” It’s not a diet! This is how I eat now to lose weight and stay healthy. And, yes, I CAN eat ANYTHING I want – in moderation.
Tonight I passed on the bread basket and appetizer at dinner so I could enjoy my two pumpkin cupcakes with cream cheese icing. They were homemade, so I knew exactly how many points I was spending. They were delicious and totally worth using some of my weekly points.
As I was thinking about how great it was to be able to eat the cupcakes, not feel guilty, and still lose weight, it just reminded me of all the times over the years that I have been asked that question. I surround myself with supportive people now, but I still hear it every once in awhile. It just goes to show that most people really don’t understand that you don’t have to starve and deprive yourself to lose weight! Nothing is off limits if you can fit it into your calorie budget!!
