My plan this week is going to have to be very flexible! 🙂 We are going out of town for our anniversary this weekend, and I really don’t know what to expect. I’m just going to do my best. I didn’t do any meal prep this weekend except for salads, so I’m mostly eating things that I already had or were already made.

BREAKFAST: The breakfast sandwiches and pumpkin pie oatmeals were made in advance and frozen. The cranberry orange pecan oatmeal is a homemade instant packet that was made weeks ago. I will make the scrambled egg beaters fresh Sunday morning.
LUNCH: The four cheese wonton lasagna is leftover from last week. The chili, white veggie lasagna, and Mexican meatloaf were all made in advance and frozen. The bruschetta chicken will be leftovers from dinner one night. The side salads were made in advance and stored in mason jars to keep them fresh.
DINNER: We are only eating at home 3 times this week. YIKES!! The chicken stir fry will be made from a meal kit that is already in the freezer. The bruschetta chicken was purchased already frozen. I will steam the broccoli slaw just before dinner. The taco salad will be assembled just before dinner, but I have taco meat and guacamole in the freezer in individual portions.
SNACKS: This week is going to be a challenge. I tried to plan snacks to keep me from going totally overboard.
Day | Points+ Used | Weekly Points+ Used |
---|---|---|
Monday | 29 | 3 |
Tuesday | 27 | 1 |
Wednesday | 26 | 0 |
Thursday | 30 | 4 |
Friday | 47 | 21 |
Saturday | 54 | 28 |
Sunday | 26 | 0 |
TOTAL (Wednesday-Sunday): | 53 |
My plan this week has me using ALL 49 of my weekly points+ allowance and 4 of my activity points (Wednesday through Sunday). This is really only my best guess with all the eating out we will be doing. I am going to do my best to enjoy myself without going crazy and not feel guilty about it. I just have to make sure to get some activity in to help offset the damage. 🙂
Have you tried meal planning yet? It doesn’t have to be overwhelming. You can use one of my free meal planning templates or try the 30 day trial at Plan to Eat.

Thanks! I’m going to try not to overdo it but it’s SO hard when I’m not at home and off my routine!
